Callaway Squareway Wood Video
In 2007, club manufacturers brought out square drivers, a radical change in club design. Among the most unique were the Nike SasQuatch Sumo2 and the Callaway FT-i. The square heads are designed to shift weight as far back in the heel and toe as the rules allow, which is supposed to make them more forgiving.
In 2008, that radical geometry is spreading to other club types. Callaway is getting ready to release the new Squareway fairway woods, and Rob Sauerhaft, GOLF Magazine's managing editor for equipment, has a first look. (You can find reviews of the latest drivers on the GOLF.com ClubTest home page.)
