Padraig Harrington's PGA championship winning clubs

Posted at 8:47 PM by David Dusek | Categories: Padraig Harrington , PGA Championship , Wilson , Winner's Bag

Harrington_driver_450x600 You might think that after winning a major championship the last thing you would want to do is make an equipment change.

But after successfully defending his British Open championship by winning at Royal Birkdale, Padraig Harrington was spotted tinkering with a new driver two weeks ago at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio. It was a new Wilson prototype called the Smooth, but at the PGA Championship he was once again swinging a Wilson Dd6.

Here is a list of the clubs that Harrington used to win the PGA Championship.

Driver:                          Wilson Dd6+ (9°)
Fairway woods:           TaylorMade Burner (13°), Wilson Staff Fybrid  (18°)
Irons:                           Wilson Staff Ci7 (3-4) Wilson Pi5 (5-PW)
Wedges:                       Wilson Tw9 (54°, 60°)
Putter:                          Odyssey White Hot 2-Ball Blade
Ball:                             Titleist Pro V1x

Great win for Padraig. It will be interesting to see what he does with Tiger out of the loop for awhile. I mentioned this post, and the clubs he carried at mygolfclubreviews.com. I agree, it'd be awesome to know what shafts he played!

I have one thing in common with Padraig Harrington, i'm using wilson Pi5 (3-pw) for almost a year now.The best is,I lowered my hcp from 22 to 18.The clubs are really great.

66, 66 on that course? It was his to win- he outplayed the field by a bunch.
Camillo finished his last 2 rounds almost as well- watch out for him.
Sergio didn't lose, he got beat by an exceptional performance. He has no reason to feel like he blew it.

What a great win. To one putt the last three holes in a major is ridiculous. Even Tiger would be hard pressed to shoot a 66-66 on the last two rounds of a major. He also seems like a very nice and humble guy.

I have one thing in common with Padrigh Harrington...my First Name; However that was quite a win for the IRISHMAN. Wonder what he will do next'Ryder Cup maybe ?

What a great final round. With the way he was striking the ball, especially his approach on 18, I think Paddy could have won with persimmon shafts!

It would be great if golf.com could also tell us what kind of shaft these guys have in their irons and woods...

that face screams "give me my *(SDF major NOW!!!"

talk about intensity...
