Padraig Harrington testing a new driver
Just a few days before the Masters, Padraig Harrington appears to be doing some driver testing. At last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill, the winner of the 2008 British Open and PGA Championship used a Wilson Spine driver, but this week at the Shell Houston Open he is playing a TaylorMade R9 with a Grafalloy ProLite 35 shaft.
Through the first two rounds on Redstone Golf Club's Tournament Course, Harrington had hit 50% of the fairways and averaged 293 yards per drive. For the season on the PGA Tour, he is hitting 52% of the fairways and averaging 279 yards per drive.
