I hate when people say yang played his best and tiger played his worst and still took second. First off idiots that was not tigers worst, i believe he missed the cut at the British that would be his worst. 2nd the low round of the day was only 70 the course was playing ridiculously hard and Tiger on sunday especially on Majors doesn't really shoot low rounds. Like it has been said before he waits for his opponents to falter thats why he has never won from behind

you're right Kermit- someone asked that in a letter to the editor a bout a year ago when GM thought KJ Choi would be the first Asian major-winner. The media must have spinned it so it's the "first Asian not born on American soil" or some such. Whatever- as a fan, he's a person first, golfer second (just like Tiger, Geoff Ogilvy, Darren Clarke, etc). Who cares wbout skin color and nationality?

Strange how Y.E. Yang is now the first Asian, as has been reported, to win the PGA Championship. Tiger was the first African American. Wait a second, isn't Tiger's mom Thai?

Was Tiger resorting to gamesmanship when he marked his ball as to not give Yang the opportunity to have the final putt, thinking he would 3 putt from about 12' it is customary to let the winner have the last putt!

Yang won. Can't remember who came in second.

Yang already beat Tiger once before- at the '06 HSBC. But I get your point- maybe there are more to come.

I love tiger but he was beaten on sunday, Congrats to Y.E. Yang, it makes asians proud and should make everyone proud cause this can only push tiger to the next level and that my friends is a scary thought...Tiger getting better!

What I found distasteful was that even the PGA website fell into the "Tiger" mania. Yes, Tiger is a great player, but at least have the decency to post Yang's post-round press interview, not just Tiger's.

No doubt Tiger will go down in history as one of the best, if not the best golfer of all time. But I am personally sick to death of hearing about his every move. As the saying goes, "If I had a nickel for every time Tiger's name was uttered by the love fest announcers literlly on a TV station, I might have more money than Tiger.

Congrats to Yang on winning it with some gutsy play. I am sure Tiger will rebound. It will be interesting to see if Tiger and Yang meet in the President's Cup.

So, Tiger Woods is human after all. The press has gone nuts trying to convince us otherwise, but he is just a great golfer, and obviously, a much better man. Tiger just wasn't with it, and hopefully Yang has the talent that he will be matched with Tiger again in the future - it was a great match-up, and hopefully, we'll get to see the match-up again in the future. Perhaps Tiger has learned something very important as a result of this loss, but either way, he will be back.

please remember that Yang played his best golf to win and Tiger played his worst and still finished 2nd..

Yeah, saw that dialogue, and seemed to be Steve Williams trying to mess with Yang and his caddy. Found it interesting CBS glossed right over the exchange, because Williams was very animated. Something did not seem right, and I think Steve could sense they were about to lose, and resorted to unbecoming tactics. Just as interesting that it was Tiger that became unraveled after that exchange on 16. Tiger got beat, plain and simple, and the bitter look on his face after his bogey on 17 said it all.

The two caddies really got into it walking from the 16th tee to the fairway. Steve Williams was pointing and yelling very loudly. It sure would be interesting to know what the issue was.

Yeah, I'd like to know what Steve Williams and Yang's caddy were arguing about.

Tiger did play defense - he is used to seing his opponent falter/fail. The did not happen and Tiger did not respond with his best golf. David beat Goliath this time.

Very true, Calvin.
As for Dickie Williams, he's a joke. He skirts the rules knowing that Tiger's "I'll take my ball and go home (or Europe)" approach will keep the Associations at bay. It's disrespectful to the tournaments sponsors, who are shelling out big bucks to pay these guys' purses (so the Williams' can get paid). I'm sure those bibs aren't super heavy, and instead of him flashing his Valvoline logo on the 18th green, it should be the people responsible for you getting paid having THEIR logo flashed about.

It gets tiresome watching the press drool over tiger even when he gets beat. Yang got little press for his win-much less than tiger got for his loss. The biggest problem with this country is the media they are in control of every situation.

I want to CONGRATULATE Y.E. Yang on his win. He wanted the Covented PGA Championship Title, and went for it. Tiger at no time throughout the tournament showed he wanted it. Tiger preferred to play it safe, spent more time thinking about what he was going to do than doing it, and never really attacked the course. At the end Tiger was still tossing grass in the air to try and determine how to hit the ball, while Yang just set up and it the ball. Yang aimed for the Stick, Tiger aimed away from the stick. Yang deserved the win. Tiger reminded me of the coach who continues to play the Prevent Defense, while his opponent is catching up to him, and in the end looses because he refuses to attack his opponents defense, and prevent defense isn't working.

His 48 Wedge is not RAC - it's the Z TP.

I think Steve Williams needs to remember that he's not the star here; with his camera-tossing ways, he seems to think he's a bouncer/bodyguard, not just a looper. Apparently a pretty good one, though really, Tiger would make anyone look like a good caddy, right?

What was the argument between Tiger's and Y.E's caddyies???
