It's fair to say a lot of folks will have their eyes on both Bubba Watson and Zach Johnson at the U.S. Open at Pinehurst this week. Though they play totally different games, both guys have a legitimate chance to contend and both will be decked out in fashion-forward Oakley gear. Here are their clothing scripts for the week:

Bubba Watson and Zach Johnson's Oakley Masters gear

Posted at 6:43 PM by Michael Chwasky

Everyone's getting amped up for Augusta next week, including Oakley's two main men, Bubba Watson and Zach Johnson. Check out their scripts for next week - look's like Bubba is going for a bit more color while Zach will be a bit more subdued, which makes sense. Though Oakley is probably best known for hi-tech eyewear like the golf specific Fast Jacket model (outfitted with G30 lenses) that Zach wears, high performance clothing is also up their alley, at least according to Bubba.

“I want to look good and have no restrictions in my swing,” says Bubba. “I swing the club at 126 mph, and the new Oakley Swing Engineered Technology really allows me to move freely and crush every drive!”

Here's Bubba:

Bubba to wear new Ping Sensor Cool glove for charity

Posted at 4:52 PM by Coleman McDowell

Bubba's got a brand new glove.

In last week's Farmers Insurance Open, Bubba Watson sported a new Ping Sensor Cool glove, but instead of a normal endorsement deal, Ping will contribute annually to the Bubba Watson Foundation.

“I’m excited to partner with Ping by wearing the new Sensor Sport glove and at the same time help raise funds for my foundation,” the 2012 Masters champ said. “The more gloves we sell, the more people we’ll help. I hope golfers get behind this program. They’ll get a high-performance glove and contribute to great causes.”

“It was Bubba’s idea and it fits his desire to use his status in the game to assist charities that are doing good work in their communities," said John A. Solheim, Ping's chairman and CEO. "Bubba and his wife Angie have big hearts, and this arrangement will help them further their efforts.”

The new line of gloves include three different models: the Sensor Sport, Sensor Tour and Sensor Tech. You can purchase these gloves beginning in the middle of February for $14-$24.

Bubba Watson joins Oakley team, reveals Masters threads in New York City

Posted at 10:37 AM by Jessica Marksbury

Bubba

Defending Masters champion Bubba Watson was officially welcomed into the Oakley family on Tuesday in front of a bevy of international media on the rooftop of New York City's swanky Gansevoort Park Avenue hotel.

Watson made his debut as an Oakley apparel endorsee in January. The company prides itself on taking an unconventional approach to golf apparel with its fun, irreverent style. "Wearing the iconic 'O,'" Watson says, "makes me feel like a real athlete."

After a short press conference, Watson revealed his Thursday-Sunday Masters looks (pictured above). "No matter what happens, I'm just going to enjoy it," he said of returning to Augusta as the defending champion.

Unfortunately, Watson chose to remain tight-lipped regarding his much anticipated Champions dinner menu, revealing only that he chose the menu "in about 30 seconds" in November of 2012. "I just went with what I wanted," he said. "I could care less about the other people."

Kentwool's Limited Edition Masters socks are back

Posted at 1:21 PM by Jessica Marksbury

Back by popular demand, Kentwool's commemorative Masters sock is again on the market just in time for the 2013 tournament.

First released in 2012, the limited edition style features Kentwool's "WINDspun" technology (a process that infuses the sock's merino wool and high-tech fiber blend with air to provide increased cushioning and comfort) and offers a 100 percent blister free guarantee.

The style quickly sold out after company endorsee Bubba Watson's Masters win, but will be available on kentwoolsocks.com for $19.95 through May 15th while supplies last.

Bubba Watson signs with Oakley

Posted at 2:00 PM by Jessica Marksbury

BubbaOakley announced Thursday that Bubba Watson, the 2012 Masters champ, has officially joined the company's golf staff.

Watson, 34, is coming off of a stint as the face of Travis Matthew, another Southern California-based apparel brand, and is excited about the change.

"When you look at Oakley as a brand before I was involved, it's fun, it's athletic, exciting, cutting-edge, all those words come to mind," Watson says. "When they came to me and wanted me to partner up and wear their stuff, why wouldn't I be on board?"

While he'll be sporting Oakley's men's performance golf collection, Watson's signature visor and buttoned-up polo look will remain unchanged. To celebrate its new addition, Oakley created an animated welcome video, which can seen below.

Ping selling 5,000 all-pink G20 drivers to support Bubba Watson's charity

Posted at 7:59 AM by David Dusek

Since Bubba Watson began swinging a pink Ping G20 driver at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in January, Ping has donated $10,000, plus $300 for every 300-plus-yard drive Watson has struck using the club, to the "Bubba & Friends Drive to a Million" initiative. That brings the company's total donation to $61,600. Watson and Ping hope to raise $1 million and give it to Phoenix-area charities chosen by the company with Watson's support.

On Tuesday morning, Ping announced that it will sell 5,000 limited-edition all-pink G20 drivers for $430 in local pro shops starting on June 1. Five percent of the proceeds from the sale of the drivers will go to "Bubba Long in Pink. Driven by Ping," which is the company's portion of "Bubba & Friends Drive to a Million."

LE-Pink-G20_640

"Bubba is already approaching the target of 300 drives of 300 yards or longer, and we wanted a way to provide ongoing support for his generous cause," said John A. Solheim, Ping Golf's chairman and CEO, in a media release. "Even prior to his win at the Masters, golfers were requesting pink G20s. Through word of mouth, social media, and phone calls, the interest was extremely high. We want to satisfy that demand while bringing even more visibility to Bubba's goal of raising $1 million."

In GOLF Magazine's March issue, the G20 was reviewed alongside several other game-improvement drivers. Testers said it was, "One of the top-rated models. A worthy descendant to a long line of great drivers." You can read the complete review here.

The pink G20 drivers will be available in right-handed 9.5°, 10.5°, and 12° models and 10.5° for left-handers. Each will come with a pink headcover and a pink Ping TFC 169D shaft labeled, "Bubba Long in Pink. Driven by Ping." A ladies 12° model will also be available.

Barack Obama presented with Scotty Cameron putter, Ping driver and Callaway wedges

Posted at 7:08 PM by David Dusek

President Barack Obama met earlier this week with United States Ryder Cup captain Davis Love, Bubba Watson and Phil Mickelson. In addition to inviting the commander in chief to attend the Ryder Cup next year at Medinah, Love gave the President a uniquely stamped Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 putter.

Mickelson gave President Obama, who is a fellow left-hander, three Callaway X Forged wedges and a 9.5° Callaway Diablo Octane driver. Each of the wedges (a 56°, 60° and 64°) was made by Roger Cleveland personally and was stamped PREZ "44" on the back. Cleveland jokingly said, "I weighted them so they wouldn't go any further left."

Watson presented President Obama with an exact replica of his driver, a Ping G15 (7.5°) with a Grafalloy Bi-Matrix shaft. Maybe Obama will use the clubs when he plays Saturday with Republican House Speaker John Boehner.

After the season of his life, Bubba's sticking with his sticks

Posted at 12:33 PM by David Dusek

Bubba-Watson-Ping-Equipment_450x600 La Jolla, Calif. — Lots of top players made significant equipment changes during the off-season. Graeme McDowell went from Callaway to Srixon, Camilo Villegas jumped from Cobra to TaylorMade and Tim Clark said good-bye to Srixon and hello to Titleist.

Bubba Watson, who won the Travelers Championship in Hartford, Conn., and made the United States Ryder Cup team, planned to switch his equipment over the winter, too. He never intended to leave the company, but after watching players like Hunter Mahan, Louis Oosthuizen and Arjun Atwal and with the Ping's new S56 irons, he figured he trade in his trusty S59 irons for the hit new model.

But a funny thing happened on the way to the fitter—Watson decided that coming off the season of his life, he just couldn't make the change.

When I talked to Watson on the putting green at Torrey Pines, he said, "The only reason to switch equipment is because you think it's better, it does something for you that, in your mind, you believe it's better. I tried them during the year, but I didn't want to mess with things during the year. I said that after the year's over, then I want to try them out."

But after returning from the Ryder Cup, instead of practicing with the new S56 irons, Watson kept the S59s in the bag.

"You know, the S56s are great clubs, probably better than my 59s, but I'm so confident with my S59s right now that I just don't see a reason right now to switch. If I played bad last year I might, but … "

Watson says that he's easy to fit and has never shied away from putting the newest Ping driver in his bag. "But with something like my irons," he said, "That's something that you've got to be focused on and truly love. So for me, it's just hard to switch out of irons and putters. A driver is just different because it's not one of your scoring clubs."

Here's a complete list of the clubs Bubba has in his bag at Torrey Pines:
