MLB All-Star attempts Q-School

Former Major League Baseball All-Star Phil Nevin will make his second attempt at Q-School in a pre-qualifier this week at Black Horse Golf Club in Seaside, Calif. "I don't think I was ever more nervous, in any at-bat I ever had, than when I stepped up to the first tee that first day," Nevin said. He shot 27-over 315 (83-73-83-76) in last year's pre-qualifier at Morgan Creek Golf & Country Club in Roseville, Calif. A score of 10-over 298 was necessary to advance to Q-School's first stage.
