Mike Labauve tip to flatten swing path baseball style and bend to that path Helped right away no more slice. Showed my son the tip and he did'nt have time to go to range but next night in his league hit it straight. Thanks

I must thank you for the tip Bill Moretti gave on flaring the right foot to stop the slice!
I have tried every "trick" in the book to stop my slice... and after applying Bill's simple tip ( feels a bit un-natural)and muffing about 5 or 6 shots, I finally started hitting the longest, straightest 3 wood shots I have ever hit!
I would have never dreamed that such a simple thing as the "12:00 - 2:00" stance could make such a drastic change!
Can't wait to take this tip out on the course!
Thanks again!

A closed stance helped the most.

The tip that was most helpful to me to assist in reducing the slice was to feel like some one was grabing your right pocket in the back swing and then pulling on your left pocket in the follow thru. That tip alone knocked 7 strokes off my game!! I started to hit the ball straighter and farther as I was finally making good contact and keeping my swing on plane.

Swinging a cornbroom proved helpful to me from getting "flippy" with my hands at impact.
The feeling of someone "pulling the right pocket" helped to keep me from sliding during the takeaway.

I just got a tip and am working on this, but any help and comments would be appreciated! I played baseball my entire life and I guess when I was swinging throught impact it was like I was trying to hit a home run over left field and it caused me to slice because my shoulders were too open and ahead of my arms. Any drills to fix this?
thanks,
Matt

I noticed this week that I was hitting driver shots far but ending up on the right side of the fairway. I checked my grip (I'm right handed) and found that my right hand was too much on top. Once I strengthened my grip (rotated the right hand a little right), the shots started drawing again.

The tip that worked for me was Mike LaBauve's " Cure that Slice" My swing path was like a Ferris Wheel. When I changed the path to a Tilt Wheel angle like Mike said to in the video clip, my slice disappeared. Thanks Mike and golf.com. Gordon Mercer.

To cure my slice and draw the ball, I went to a closed stance.
