Caddy for a Caddie at the Byron Nelson

Posted at 12:41 PM by Cameron Morfit | Categories: EDS Byron Nelson Championship

Colinas_300 This week's EDS Byron Nelson Championship still has a fairly weak field, having succeeded in luring just one top-10 player who wasn't there last year: Adam Scott. (Tiger and Phil are still MIA.)

But it's not for a lack of trying. The Nelson is making monumental changes. First among them is D.A. Weibring's $8 million redesign of the TPC Four Seasons Resort Las Colinas, the host course and the only course the tournament will be played on. This is the first time it'll be played on only one course since 1993. Also, the caddie for the winning player this week will get a Cadillac XLR-V, which boasts top track speeds of more 155 miles per hour. "More than enough to guarantee the winning caddie will never miss a tee time," says the EDS press release. And more than enough car to provide insurance against a lean year. The car is worth about $100,000.
