Casey has wedding plans, and a history of solid second rounds

Paul Casey will marry his longtime girlfriend, Jocelyn Hefner, in Arizona in December, the British golfer told me, but first he will attend Colin Montgomerie's wedding to Gaynor Knowles next week.

"I'll be taking notes," said Casey, who shot a one-under 71 in the opening round of the Masters on Thursday.

If you're looking for someone to break out of the pack Friday, Casey would be as good a bet as anyone. He opened with a 79 at Augusta last year before storming back to eventually finish in a tie for 10th place. He did the same thing at the U.S. Open, matching his T10 finish at Augusta despite an opening-round 77. His second round has been lower than his first, sometimes by a considerable margin, in six of his last seven major starts.
