Chris Berman and our national championship

Posted at 9:04 PM by Damon Hack | Categories: U.S. Open

I'll say this up front. I really like ESPN's Chris Berman during the NFL season. He has personality, he loves football and he deftly handles his on-air duties, chief among them tossing questions around to a bunch of coaches and ex-jocks. To me, his baritone screams "football." I'm not sure it screams "golf." Heck, there is no screaming in golf, right? But I'm curious what the wider populace thinks. Do you like Chris Berman announcing the United States Open or do you prefer ESPN's Mike Tirico, NBC's Dan Hicks, or someone else?
