Tiger (accidentally?) announces course design project

Posted at 10:50 PM by Alan Bastable | Categories: Tiger Woods , U.S. Open

In his post-round U.S. Open press conference Sunday, Tiger Woods said that Monday’s playoff would force him to cancel his plans to fly to Mexico tomorrow. The purpose of the trip?

“Golf course design project,” Woods said.

It was an unusual revelation. Most of Tiger’s business pursuits are guarded like state secrets and then announced with great pomp in a well-orchestrated press conference.

Did Tiger slip?

Tiger's slip-ups are never really newsworthy like other athletes. Whats newsworthy is his crazy ability to play golf. It must be nice to be the MAN. Can someone really make that many astonishing putts in one tournament. How does he do that. Earl must have been guiding those babies in.

I think the only slip Tiger made may have been on that sore knee he has. His U.S. Open victory prolonged to 91 holes in his condition was the most phenomenal accomplishment in the history of professional golf!

Mexico is a corrupt dump of a country. I would never do business there.

hehe.. the media are such whores.

The only place Tiger is flying to tomorrow is Alabama. Paging Dr. Andrews.....

Oh my God, Mr Woods made a tiny 'slip-up'. This just shows he's only human...except on the golf course where he continues and continues to amaze. I just hope they can get that left knee fixed as golf would lose the interest of millions without him.

Tiger is Tiger: On Saturday when he birdied the 17th hole and eagled the 18th to take the lead he super confirmed that Tiger is Tiger. Then again Sunday burdied the 18th hole coming from the bunker and under pressure, he came accross to force a play off it's just phenomenal. Juuuust incredible. I want Tiger to know that I'm 72 and became interested in golf when I saw him play. I will not leave the house when he is playing and I follow his game till the end. I LOVE TO MEET HIM AND FEDERER SOME DAY. Congratulations Tiger, you and Federer are on the top of my list. Carmen

Slip or not, this is why he is worth Millions (billions by next year!). Tiger inspired more than 50% of us golfers out there to playing the game of golf. I was one of them.

Whether Tiger slipped or not, all the hype about whatever it is will still be there. They could slap Tiger's name on a box of diapers and people would still rave over it. Come on, it's Tiger Woods.
