Can Tiger finish his round?
Tiger Woods was only four holes into the final round of the Open, and already I was asking myself a stunning question: Is he going to be able to finish this round?
His knee is clearly killing him. You saw him on No. 1, pulling his drive way left and batting it off a couple of trees en route to his third double bogey on that hole this week.
After his tee shot on No. 2, he barely seemed able to walk off the tee box and down a small slope. He was in no rush to start walking after his approach to No. 4, possibly because his knee was hurting.
I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not sure he can keep hitting golf shots and walk all 18 holes. I think his ability to physically finish the round may be in question. That would be a crummy way to end the Open, not to mention anticlimactic after his remarkable heroics Saturday.

I've never understood why Van Sickle always looks for ways to trash Tiger. Whether Tiger finishes or not, this open will be talked about for years to come in terms of the brilliance of his play in rounds two and three. If he wins, that will be so much icing on the cake.

It would be neither crummy nor anticlimactic. It would be unfortunate.

It would certainly be crummy and anticlimactic, but I hope he won't risk permanent damage to his knee just to get through all 18 today.
