On Twitter, PGA Tour and LPGA golfers react to death of Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson's death brought down Twitter yesterday, so we did a little digging to see if any of the golf world's avid Tweeters had anything to say about his passing. Almost as soon as the news broke, several players posted their thoughts and reactions. A sampling is below.
Stewart Cink: My favorite Michael Jackson moment came when @lisacink and her five best friends did the whole Thriller dance at our benefit party in March.
Suzann Pettersen: It is hard to pick one favorite song from the king of pop. just so many good ones... love em all. This is surreal!
Trevor Immelman: Man, real sad news about MJ. He was a true legend. Thriller album still stands as one of the best ever.
Annika Sorenstam: SAD day. Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett. Hope the two global icons rest in peace. Thoughts with their families.
Yani Tseng: Michael Jackson died?! Awwww, that is saaaaad and im shocked !!!
Michelle Wie: Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett passed away today?!?!??!?!?! what a sadddd sadd day. may you both rest in peace.
Morgan Pressel: I guess everyone else just found out too...Michael Jackson died?? Not quite sure why I'm so shocked but I am...
Ian Poulter: tragic news about Michael Jackson, what a pop legend. such a shame to see him pass so early. may you rest in peace Michael.
Christina Kim: R.I.P. Michael Jackson. You were a musical icon, a genius in your own right. You inspired millions and changed the world. Youl be missed.

Please... You can visit pet show forums and you'll find conservative wingnuts there blaming Prez Obama for everything. Petchulant and bitter only begin to describe them. MJ was a great musician but his perv personal life will always disturb me. That is one thing he'll have in common with Republicans.

Tom, you do realize that by posting on this board you are contributing to the "talk". There is nothing more intriguing than ones lack of self awareness.

Hey Tom I would wager a lot of money that you voted for and supported the last President that spent our money like it was on fire.

Tom, despite all of the chaos surrounding us you have enough time to click on a link about a Pop star that you so disdain... and then for good measure vent about it on a posting board. I would think all of the self proclaimed soothsayers like yourself would be so focused on the world's ill's they would not have the time to check out golf.com stories.

Foreclosures, layoffs, high unemployment, a U.S. president spending our money like it's on fire, people wondering what thier future holds...and the only thing people, especially the media can only talk about is a known pedophile with enough plastic on his face to make 20 lego sets.

+1 on Adam's comment. Why did you even read the article? MJ, RIP

Really Lefty? This article was titled, "On Twitter, PGA Tour and LPGA golfers react to the death of Michael Jackson. You say you do not care what they think, but not only did you open the article that carried that title, but you also took the time to comment on it. What kind of life do you have where you have the time to read articles about things you dont care about? Yes, I see the irony in me taking all this time replying, but I was interested in what some golfers had to say about MJ's passing. Then I saw your comment and wanted to point out how freaking dumb people think you are when they see that comment and realize, "hey, this j-rkoff doesn't care about the article, but still read...and commented...on it." Just wanted to point that out to you.
RIP MJ
