Caddie Williams says he has no knowledge of Woods scandal
Steve Williams, Tiger Woods's caddie, said he had no knowledge of the circumstances surrounding his boss's mysterious car accident last month, nor does he know anything about Woods's alleged extramarital affairs.
"I do not have any personal knowledge of anything in the
reports related to the Tiger Woods' stories. [Wife] Kirsty and I give our
heartfelt wishes to Tiger, Elin, Sam and Charlie and hope this gets put
to rest soon," Williams said in a statement released to The New Zealand Herald.
Williams, who formerly caddied for Greg Norman, spends the off-season in his native
New Zealand. He and Woods are famously close, and Woods was the best man at Williams's wedding. Williams said previously that he expects to be back on Tiger's
bag at the San Diego Open at Torrey Pines in late January.
