Cowboys cheerleader helps Hunter Mahan win Phoenix Open
Of course the rowdy fans at the Waste Management Phoenix Open love Hunter Mahan. He's the only golfer who brings a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader with him.
Kandi Harris, Mahan's girlfriend and a member of the world-famous "cowbelles," actually played a major role in his win on Sunday. Mahan discovered a crack in his driver on the second hole and needed a replacement. So Harris got out to the parking lot, grabbed Mahan's back-up driver, and brought it back to Mahan in time for his tee shot on No. 3.
"Luckily the rules staff ran her out to the car and she got it and I got it before the next tee shot, which was nice, because the next hole is a par-5," Mahan said. "I really didn't want to hit a 3-wood off the par 5."
If only Harris could find a way to help out Tony Romo when he's in a tough spot.
