Truth & Rumors: Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy to play exhibition match in China

Posted at 10:26 AM by Mark Dee | Categories: Rory McIlroy, Ryder Cup, Tiger Woods, Truth & Rumors

As T&R reported here, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy will play together during the first two rounds of The Barclays next week at Bethpage Black, so we won't have to wait until the Ryder Cup to see the once and future kings of golf go head-to-head.

Well, according to a report from the Golf Channel, we won't have to wait too long after the Ryder Cup (Sept. 25-30) either.

On Wednesday, McIlroy confirmed on the network's "Morning Drive" show that he will play Woods in an exhibition match in Zhengzhou, China, on Oct. 29. Both golfers will be in Asia the week prior -- Rory is scheduled to play in the BMW Masters in Shanghai, and Woods has committed to the CIMB Classic in Malaysia. The match will take place the Monday after both events. Mark your calendars. I'm sensing a midnight live blog...
