Truth & Rumors: Johnny Football is a golfer

Posted at 11:30 AM by Samantha Glover | Categories: Truth & Rumors

Not only is Johnny Manziel a football sensation and the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy, but he is good at golf, too.

According to CBS Sports's Andrew DeWitt, Texas A&M's quarterback comes from a family of avid golfers and has played since he was young, although never competitively.

He was shooting par on the golf course by the time he turned 11 but he never played golf for Tivy High School.

...when Johnny and his mom pair up against his dad and sister, Meri, the father-sister pairing always wins, according to Manziel's mom.

Manziel, nicknamed "Johnny Football," hit the links with teammate Luke Joeckel last week before the College Football Awards, according to the report.
