Holly Sonders chips out first pitch for Tampa Bay Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays invited Holly Sonders, co-host of the Golf Channel's Morning Drive, to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Monday's contest against the Texas Rangers at Tropicana Field ... so Sonders teed up a baseball and chipped it toward home plate.

Given the the Trop's chronically low attendance and Carly Rae Jepsen's permanent spot on the blooper reel after her first pitch attempt earlier this summer, this wasn't exactly performance under pressure, but Sonders gets big points for a solid effort and unique presentation.

She even made time to tee it up with 2012 AL Cy Young Award-winner David Price:
