The Met Gala -- hosted by Vogue editor Anna Wintour -- is one of the hottest events on the New York social calendar. In addition to Woods and Vonn, other invited guests included Madonna, Katy Perry, Anne Hathaway, Jerry Seinfeld and many other celebrities. Here's our original story:

Tiger Woods has a busy week ahead of him. He'll be playing in the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass later this week, but first he's going to a glamorous New York City party with new girlfriend Lindsey Vonn, according to US Weekly.

The once-undercover couple will make their official debut at the 2013 Met Gala on Monday, May 6, in New York City, sources tell Us Weekly exclusively.

Insiders say the pro golfer and his Olympic gold medal-winning girlfriend will attend as guests of Vogue. The magazine is also dressing both athletes, though there's no word yet on which designers will be called upon for the occasion.

Woods and Vonn made their long-rumored relationship public via Facebook in March, but the Met Gala will be the first time they've been seen in public together. Recently, Woods went to Michael Jordan's wedding without Vonn, and Vonn attended a party in New York without Woods last week.

Lindsey Vonn cheers on Tiger Woods at 2013 Masters

She made it after all.

Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn was spotted outside the clubhouse Augusta National Golf Club on Thursday morning prior to her boyfriend Tiger Woods's 10:45 a.m. tee time. Vonn chatted with Woods' mother, Tida, near the famous oak tree behind the Augusta clubhouse along with Woods' agent Mark Steinberg and his coach Sean Foley.

Vonn, who is recovering from knee surgery following a harrowing ski crash in February, confirmed her long-rumored relationship with Woods via Facebook in March.

The Masters is the first time Vonn has been seen at one of Woods's tournaments.

Caroline Wozniacki to caddie for Rory McIlroy in Masters Par 3

Posted at 9:57 AM by Mike Walker

Caroline Wozniacki will caddie for boyfriend Rory McIlroy in Wednesday's Par 3 Contest at Augusta National.

The Par 3 Contest is one of the Masters' many storied traditions. Former champions like Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer as well as current players compete in the nine-hole event played at the club's par-3 course, and players often have their wives, children, friends or parents caddie for them.

Wozniacki revealed on Twitter that she'd be on McIlroy's bag in response to a question from European Tour player Thorbjørn Olesen, who is playing the Masters this week.

Wozniacki won't be the first women's professional tennis star to caddie in the Par 3 Contest; Chris Evert was on then-husband Greg Norman's bag on 2009.

And, sorry US Magazine, we're not likely to see Lindsey Vonn caddie for Tiger Woods in the Par 3 Contest. Vonn is recovering from knee surgery following a frightening skiing crash in February. Woods hasn't played the Par 3 since 2003. He has said he will play when his children are old enough to caddie for him. His daughter Sam is now 5 years old.

People Magazine: Lindsey Vonn 'not freaked out' about Tiger Woods' past

Posted at 11:37 AM by Mike Walker

Tiger_lindsey_300As an Olympic champion skier, Lindsey Vonn has the wholesome, all-American images that her new boyfriend Tiger Woods used to have prior to his sex scandals. However, Vonn and Woods have talked about his past and Vonn is comfortable with the relationship, according to People Magazine.

"Tiger makes Lindsey happy," says one Vonn pal. "She isn't concerned what others think. She trusts her instincts. She is very comfortable with the relationship."

A source close to Woods, 37, says the golf pro has been open with Vonn about his past, which includes adultery and a 45-day stay in rehab, reportedly for sex addiction.

"They have sat down and talked it out more than once," says the source. "He has explained his side and owned up to what he did wrong. He has been honest with her. She's not freaked out by his past."

Woods and Vonn confirmed their long-rumored relationship by posting photos on Facebook earlier this week, a move Woods said the couple did to stymie the "stalkerazzi and all those sleazy websites that are out there following us."

Tiger Woods docks 'Privacy' next to Elin Nordegren's new boyfriend's boat

Posted at 3:12 PM by Mark Dee

PrivacyAs the super-rich say, "It's not the size of the boat, it's where you park it."

Unless you park it right next to your ex's new boyfriend's boat. Then, we can't help you.

According to TMZ, that's what happened to Tiger Woods on Monday -- the same day he and Lindsey Vonn went Facebook-official with their much rumored romance -- when Woods docked his yacht (pictured) right next to the craft of Chris Cline, the 54-year-old billionare coal magnate who, as the New York Post reported, happens to be dating Elin Nordegren, Tiger's ex-wife.

So, Tiger threw himself on the mercy of the measuring tape -- and came up short. By nine feet. The winner: Cline's "Mine Games" over Wood's "Privacy," 164 ft. to 155 ft.

Taken together, the two five-bedroom boats are bigger than a football field, so they're not even that close. But still, point Cline. Not just for length, but also for that name. "Mine Games" purportedly refers to the source of his wealth, but come on. Tiger's plea "Privacy" always seemed a little ... inapt. Also, according to The Daily Mail, his boat has a submarine, which has long been a trump card here on the blog. If you own a submarine, and you are a person, and not a country, then you have our attention. For a full tale-of-the-tape, follow the link to the Daily Mail's Rundown.

Woods will try to avenge this "defeat" Thursday, when he tees off at Bay Hill in the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a tournament he's won seven times. Shrug it off, kid: That's seven more than Chris Cline.

Tiger Woods says he's dating Lindsey Vonn in Facebook update

Posted at 1:36 PM by Mike Walker

Lindseyvonn_fb_600

Now that's what we call a relationship status update.

Tiger Woods posted that he is now dating Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn in a message to fans on his Facebook page along with several pictures of the couple.

This season has been great so far and I'm happy with my wins at Torrey and Doral. Something nice that's happened off the course was meeting Lindsey Vonn. Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating. We thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy. We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple and continue to compete as athletes.

Vonn also confirmed the relationship on her Facebook page.

I guess it wasn't a well-kept secret but yes, I am dating Tiger Woods. Our relationship evolved from a friendship into something more over these past few months and it has made me very happy. I don't plan on addressing this further as I would like to keep that part of my life between us, my family and close friends. Thank you for understanding and your continued support! xo LV

The Daily Mail (UK) reported last week that Woods and Vonn spent the weekend of the WGC-Cadillac Championship on Woods's yacht at a Miami-area marina. Celebrity tabloids have linked the pair since since they were both in Vail in November.

Vonn tore her ACL and MCL and had small fractures of her femur and tibia in a terrible crash at the Alpine world championships in Austria on Feb 5. She is rehabbing to compete in the Winter Olympics next year.

Both Woods, 37, and Vonn, 28, are divorced.

Report: Tiger and Lindsey Vonn spent Doral weekend on yacht

Posted at 12:35 PM by Mike Walker

Lindsey_hedTiger Woods's name for his yacht -- "Privacy" --  has proved ironic.

According to the Daily Mail, Woods and Lindsey Vonn [right)] spent the weekend of the WGC-Cadillac Championship on "Privacy," where photographers snapped them at a Miami-area marina, though not together.

Tiger Woods celebrated his big win on Sunday with new love US Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn.

The famous athletes sailed the Florida seas on Tiger's massive yacht named Privacy, after a full week of nesting on his ocean vessel while the sportsman played the Cadillac Championship Golf Tournament.

Tiger_hedCelebrity media outlets have linked Woods and Vonn since they were both in Vail in November, although Vonn told the Denver Post that she and Woods were just friends and that her brother was giving Woods's children skiing lessons. Vonn tore her ACL and MCL and had small fractures of her femur and tibia in a terrible crash at the Alpine world championships in Austria on Feb 5. Vonn, who is rehabbing to compete in the Winter Olympics next year, would not confirm the relationship in a recent Sports Illustrated profile:

"I'd like to keep my personal life private," she said in Vail. "In reality, I know that's not possible. In the present, I'm trying to pretend it's possible." She is not humorless on this subject; asked if she noticed Rory McIlroy's withdrawal from the Honda Classic that day, she laughed and said, "Yes, I did."

Woods has repeatedly declined to discuss his personal life. Both Woods, 37, and Vonn, 28, are divorced.

People Magazine: Tiger Woods, Lindsey Vonn get 'closer and closer'

Posted at 9:20 AM by Golf.com

Lindsey_profileFirst Tiger Woods reportedly loaned his private jet to an injured Lindsey Vonn [right], now comes a report from People Magazine that the two star athletes may becoming more than friends.

"Tiger and Lindsey have been friends for a while, and nothing started out romantically at all," a source tells PEOPLE. "But they really have a lot in common and got closer and closer. He still refers to her as 'my very good friend,' but he's been spending more and more time talking to her – and talking about her."

Last month, Vonn's reps kept mum about the rumored relationship, telling PEOPLE that her "focus is solely on competing and on defending her titles and thus she will not participate in any speculation surrounding her personal life at this time."

But the source close to Woods tells PEOPLE that Woods, 37, and Vonn. 28, talk and text frequently.

"Tiger really does want a woman who he can have good conversations with," he says. "He wants shared interests and outlooks. He is finding that with [Lindsey]."

And perhaps most importantly...

"She's not freaked out by his past, and that's really appealing to him," says the source.

Report: Tiger Woods lends private jet to Lindsey Vonn after crash

Posted at 4:26 PM by Golf.com

LindseyvonnAccording to TMZ.com, Tiger Woods lent injured skier Lindsey Vonn his private jet so Vonn could leave Austria after her serious crash earlier this week at the world alpine championships in Schladming, Austria.

TMZ.com posted a photograph of Vonn on crutches boarding a private plane in Austria on Friday. Vonn tore two ligaments in her right knee and fractured her shin when she crashed in the Super G event on Tuesday, and she had to be airlifted off the mountain.

In January, the Salzburg Times reignited rumors that Woods and Vonn are dating when the German-language newspaper reported that Woods stopped in Salzburg, Austria, on his way to a golf tournament in Abu Dhabi at the same time Vonn was in Salzburg for a TV interview.

Vonn’s publicist later released a statement saying Vonn would not “participate in any speculation surrounding her personal life at this time." Last year, Vonn said that she and Woods are friends and that she knows Woods because her brother was the ski instructor for Woods' children in Vail. Both Woods and Vonn are recently divorced.

Vonn will have surgery on her right knee next week in Colorado, and she said in a written statement that she hopes to return to competition at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, next year.

"I can assure you that I will work as hard as humanly possible to be ready to represent my country next year in Sochi," Vonn said.

Woods is not playing this week at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am or at next week's Northern Trust Open in Los Angeles. His next PGA Tour appearance will be at the Accenture World Match play Championship in Tucson, Ariz., on Feb. 20.

Lindsey Vonn won't discuss reports she's dating Tiger Woods: Truth & Rumors

Posted at 10:17 AM by Mike Walker

Rumors of a Lindsey Vonn-Tiger Woods relationship were the talk of Salzburg, Austria, earlier this month when Tiger's plane stopped there en route to the HSBC Abu Dhabi Golf Champions event while Vonn was supposedly in town for an interview.

The story appeared in the German-language Salzburg News, but the principals aren't talking.

Vonn's publicist said the Olympic skier would not comment on reports that she and Woods are dating, according to David Leon Moore of USA Today.

Vonn's publicist, Lewis Kay, issued a statement neither confirming or denying the, uh, link. "Lindsey is currently in the midst of the World Cup season in Europe," the statement read. "Her focus is solely on competing and on defending her titles and thus she will not participate in any speculation surrounding her personal life at this time."

And -- surprise! -- Woods doesn't have anything to say about it either, according to Moore.

Woods, through his spokesman, Glenn Greenspan, said he would not respond to the report.

In November, Woods was in Vail at the same time as Vonn, but she denied that they were seeing each other. “We are just friends,” she told the Denver Post. “My brother was the ski instructor for his kids this November in Vail. Guessing that’s where it came from.”
